What are the advantages of flying gliders in Sierra Zulu? Latanie szybowcami zapewnia poczucie wolności, szybkie opanowanie umiejętności i rozwój osobisty. W Aviation Sierra Zulu dodatkowo zyskujesz: małe grupy (2-4 osoby), minimalny czas oczekiwania na loty, dedykowaną przestrzeń powietrzną bez zakłóceń (np. wojskowych), nowoczesne udogodnienia (kuchnia, prysznice, pokoje z łazienkami), brak ukrytych opłat (za starty, lądowania, członkostwo czy parkowanie) oraz oszczędność czasu – nawet do miesiąca w porównaniu do aeroklubów. Szkolenia rozwijają pewność siebie poprzez programy jak „Rebuild Confidence” (3 loty z instruktorem).
What makes studying in Sierra Zulu different from other centers? Unlike traditional flying clubs (large groups of 6-7 people, long waits), we offer a premium model: individual schedule, training for the aircraft from the first flight (without a winch), full airspace exclusively for gliders, no sharing with other users, and assistance in buying the first glider. All in a luxurious atmosphere with modern amenities. The training focuses on hands-on experience, including heat flights and a state exam.
What are the requirements for starting glider training? You must be over 14 years of age, pass a flight medical examination of the 2nd class and (if you are under 18 years of age) obtain notarized parental consent. The minimum flight time required for an SPL license is approximately 15 hours on 45 flights, including at least 2 hours of independent flight and a 50/100 km flight with an instructor. The Theoretical and State exam is conducted during practical training at the Civil Aviation Administration (ULC).
How do I sign up for training or a flight? Registration is done through the store's page, where you can directly book a voucher or course. For theoretical training, we offer weekend options (3 sessions), afternoon (12 days) or rest, with a limit of 12 people per room. The tour price includes a free introductory flight.
What does the training program look like? Training is divided into theory (approx. 60 hours: aerodynamics, flight mechanics, aviation law, navigation, meteorology, glider construction, piloting rules, skydiving, aviation hygiene) - available online (via www.avioner.pl) or permanently in Warsaw in the lecture halls of Aviation Sierra Zulu ul. Dynarska 1-practice (45-60 flights with an instructor + 5-10 independent ones). Practice stages: take-offs, straight line flights, turns, landings, overhead circle and emergency situations. Improvement includes flying, stunts, and mountain flying (sailing and wave). Glider: SZD-50 " Filin”" Thermal flights are followed by a practical state exam, which allows flights also with passengers after departure for additional hours.
How long does the training take? The theory lasts about 50 hours, and the basic practice lasts 7-10 days in favorable weather conditions. All this is faster than in other centers, thanks to an individual approach and a flexible program adapted to changes in aviation legislation.
How much does training and flying cost?
Where does the training take place and why does the place matter? Practical training: Milewo Airport (EPMX), approx. 70 km from Warsaw (40 min driving), in an open area without obstacles, which ensures safety and predictable thermal stability. Theory: stationary in Warsaw (1 Dynarska str.) or online. We also organize mountain camps (for example, Bezmiechowa). Compared to urbanized airports (such as in a city), Milewo offers greater margin of error, shorter openings, and less stress-perfect for beginners.
Who are the instructors? Chief instructor-Slawomir Zydek (Slavek) - a pilot of more than 1,000 gliding hours (approx. 50,000 km, flights >600 km), success in paragliding (>200 km) and 585 skydive jumps. He has many years of teaching experience. We work with other proven instructors.
The group of cooperating instructors includes line pilots, cruisers, and gliding enthusiasts with current gliding training authority.
Are training sessions safe? Yes, security is a priority. We offer a special air space without interference, an individual approach to stress minimization, training in emergency situations and a modern glider "Filin". The instructors are highly experienced, and the location in Mileva reduces the risks associated with urbanisation.
